Oliver the Humanzee died the other day. Previous to reading the death notice, I didn't know about Oliver. Now I'm fascinated by his story.

Oliver is a mutant Chimpanzee and a former performing ape once promoted as a "Humanzee" due to his unusually human-like face and bipedal stature. Despite his unusual appearance and behavior, scientists determined in the 1990s that Oliver is not a human-chimpanzee hybrid.
