Portraits of Dogs Least Likely to Be Adopted

 

We've seen some heartbreaking portraits of shelter dogs in the past and New York-based photographer LaNola Stone adds a few more faces to the mix. In her series titled Least Likely to Be Adopted, Stone presents portraits of some lovable companions in the dog pound near her neighborhood. The photographer specifically sets her lens on the dogs who have been at the pound the longest, making them the "least likely to be adopted." It seems hard to believe that any of their sweet faces would be denied for so long, some up to six months. Luckily, we're glad to announce that all of the dogs pictured have since been adopted!
