Happy Thanksgiving, Orangutan Outreach needs your support

Sumatran orangutans are critically endangered due to deforestation and the expansion of oil palm plantations into their forest home. Our partner SOCP runs the only rescue center for orphaned & displaced orangutans in Sumatra. There's recently been an influx of new arrivals under the age of 3 and, thanks to YOU, they're getting a new Baby House! Learn more.

Meet Some of the Residents of the SOCP Baby House.

Here's Bintang playing with his big sister Nadya.
You can adopt Nadya for just 30¢ a day!

Here's Bintang again— trying his best not to look cute! Nice try, little man...

And here's Little Megaloman giving you his 'forlorn' look....  Resistance is futile.

Still need some convincing?
The SOCP Baby House now has its very own Facebook Page!
Check it out!

Orangutan Outreach... in Florida!

Amy Blackford (l) and Lauren Gosik (r) organized awesome fundraisers for us in Tampa! (Missing in Action is Pam Carter). Lauren's yoga event 'Pose for Pongos' blissfully raised awareness while Amy & Pam's 'Bootcamp' got people jumping for orangutans! Shout-out to all our human & ape friends at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo and the Center for Great Apes!

Orangutan Outreach... in London!

Sisters Ella (l), Gali (r) and Greta (missing in action) were inspired to help orangutans after visiting Borneo this summer. When they got home they put together a huge fundraiser with their friends & classmates! Orangutan Outreach Executive Director Richard Zimmerman was invited to give a presentation at Gali's school, North Bridge House. The students raised funds for orangutan conservation and Gali presented a check to Rich. They are pictured below with Headteacher Georgina Masefield. Special thanks to everyone in London for such lovely hospitality.

Orangutan Outreach... in Toronto!

Rich was honored to join such luminaries as Jane Goodall, David Suzuki, Nelson Mandela and Maya Angelou to write an entry in the new book Global Chorus. He's pictured above with the editor, Todd MacLean, at the Toronto launch. Visit the Global Chorus website to learn more about this stellar project and order your copy today!

As part of Orangutan Caring Week, Rich was invited to give a presentation at the Toronto Zoo. Special thanks to Zookeeper Matt Berridge and everyone at the Zoo for hosting the event! It was fun to meet so many Facebook friends & supporters in person! The Zoo raised funds for SOCP's orangutan conservation work in Sumatra. Extra-special shout-out to Puppe (pictured below) for being so inspiring! Bless her soul.... {:(|}

Orangutan Outreach... in California!

Orangutan Outreach Youth Ambassador Allie Boyer continues to amaze us with herPurses for Primates fundraisers! She and her friend Natalie are unstoppable!

Orangutan Outreach... in Borneo!
