Australian Shepherd, Blakely is a resident surrogate parent at the Cincinnati Zoo

 

Blakely is known for being a foster parent.

And his nickname is “super dog.” He has cared for cheetahs, an ocelot, a takin, wallabies, skunks, bat-eared foxes, and a warthog. Yes, a warthog. Accordingly, the City of Cincinnati even made October 19th, “Blakely Day.”

 This is Santos, an 11-week-old ocelot kitten born at the Cincinnati Zoo. He absolutely loves playing with Blakely, a companion dog at the institution’s nursery, and the pair spend time together almost every day, exercising indoors during Ohio’s cold winter months.
