Two sisters, my future mother and aunt lived in a small town in Wisconsin in the 1920s. How did they end up as circus performers? After the circus, what then? My dad bought a baby chimpanzee named Skippy. He planned to get bookings in movie theatres for my mother to form an animal act. I was living with my grandmother in Wisconsin during the depression. Skippy, the chimp, was in several Tarzan movies as Cheetah. Then on to California as I entered the fifth grade. What was it like to be a teen during World War II? Finally, to live the role of wife, mother, divorcee and finally a senior as an observer of life in general. Our country has suffered many natural and man-made problems. Growing old is not for the weak.
